Fraser Island

Well, the big thing all backpackers due in Australia on the east coast is go to see and explore Fraser Island. So off I went, from Rainbow Beach to explore Fraser Island with three other cars of backpackers. People hype Fraser island up the whole way, and they are right, it could not be a better place. Everyone tells you if you don't have fun on Fraser, it is your own fault. They are also right. It was an amazing time. You go on these tag along tours, pile into big four by four vehicles and drive along the beach, through island tracks and explore fresh water lakes and streams and ship wrecks and pools and try not to get eaten by dingos. You have dingo buddies oh, did I mention, even though we were the lead car with the guide, our tire fell off, we got stuck and on the third day when we weren't in the lead car, we got lost. Only to me folks, only to me. Some pictures for the first day.

Surfing!!!

Well, you can't go to Australia without learning to surf, so when I woke up to rain in Agnes Waters, I decided to go learn to surf. It was amazing. I actually stood up!!! So, I think the next step is practically pro surfer!!

Whitehaven Beach

Whitehaven Beach was absolutely breath taking. It lived up to all expectations. When we arrived, it was overcast but thanks to an Angel I learned a sun dance. And all my new friends from the boat helped dance and bring out the sun. As a result, we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The sand is all but pure silica and squeaks and makes your skin feel very smooth!!!

The Whitsundays

By far, on of my favourite parts of the trip. I went sailing on the Whitsundays!! And what can be better than sailing around on the great barrier reef and snorkelling and diving and sitting in a hot tub on a boat and seeing dolphins, and dugongs and eels and manta rays and the city of nemos. It was absolutely amazing. I chose to go on a boat called Wings, which was a brilliant choice and I would recommend to anyone. 20 of us set out for the adventure of a lifetime. We went to Whithaven Beach, enjoyed living on a boat and as backpackers were oh so thankful we did not have to do our own dishes or prepare our own meals. I was lucky enough to be captain for a bit and well, hopefully the pictures convince you to go and enjoy the adventure for yourself.

Bad-ass at Scooteroo!!

Recently rated as one of the top five things to do on the east coast of Australia, I stopped in the town of 1770 to part take in scooteroo and eat some of the best potato wedges EVER!! I got to demonstrate a little of my bad ass side and well I think the pictures describe the rest!!!

Well since mom knows now!!

While up in Cairns, I decided it was a good idea to go sky diving on Mission Beach. I was wrong, it was beyond good. It was amazing!! I decided to tell
Mom but mailing the DVD home
Of the jump and apparently she didn't breath for the whole video. For the rest of you, I highly recommend it. It was amazing. I would jump again in a heart beat.
