Farmer's Market, Starbucks and Sightseeing Today

Notice the Christmas Starbucks cups and the lack of snow here!!! Ironic. Photos from our dinner out together. Kyle, I know. You are the photogenic one. I was hoping things might be different down under. Guess not!!!

Aboriginal Dance

There is lots going on on Queen Street. Some aboriginal dance photos and a guy doing street art.

Let the Adventure Continue

Chad and I spent the day being tourists. Being the true gentleman that he is, he spent the day showing me around. We started off at the university in the beautiful law building before heading over to the art museum. After the campus tour, the two of us headed down to Queen Street. A lunch of sushi on the municipal steps before continuing the museum tour.

Brisbane Adventure Continued

I spent the last couple of days exploring Brisbane. Today I went to Queen's street. Explored around the market and saw an aboriginal display. Also spent some time on Southbank and road the giant ferris wheel.

The Canadian Eats Kangaroo on Day Number Two

Hello from down under!!!
So, good news, I haven't burnt to a crisp yet. Though it is very, very hot down here, and I suppose I get no sympathy as I have heard that it is minus twenty at home. The flight down here was very long, thank goodness from Hong Kong to Brisbane, there was no one sitting next to me and I could stretch out to sleep.
I arrived in Brisbane and successfully took the public transit train (for you none believers, I even have a go card now) to Chad. And with that, started my Australian Adventure.
Chad and Kristen and I then spent the afternoon by the pool and catching up. It was glorious after a long journey. I also, successfully made it till 10pm. For you those of you that know me, know that's pay my bedtime at home. Step number one at avoiding jet lag.
The next day Kristen and I took on the adventure of grocery shopping. A whole new adventure without a car. Then off to an afternoon and evening of fun poolside with Chad's law buddies. Ironically, a large majority of Canadians. This is where I ate kangaroo for the first time. It was actually quite delicious. And swam in November in an outside pool. A hard thing to grasp for a Canadian.
